Hey friends!
Okay, so today I'm sharing details with you for our farm’s 2025 community supported agriculture (CSA) shares!
If you’ve been connected with my farm for the last year, you might have an idea of how Schul Farmstead’s CSA share works. (and if you’re brand new, that’s ok too!)
But, in 2025, I’m revamping our CSA program & transitioning it to a Market Membership CSA share.
Instead of committing to a 20-week subscription of vegetables that are determined by me, with the Market Membership CSA share, you’ll have a farm debit card you can use when you shop with us at the Lewiston Artisan Farmers Market on Saturdays from April - December.
Not only will the Market Membership CSA allow you to choose whatever vegetables you want from our stand, but you can use it to purchase flower bouquets, herbs, microgreens, garden seedlings, organic sourdough granola, organic cheese, and literally anything else that I bring to the market.
And it will release you from the confines of a consecutive 20-week subscription. Going on a camping trip for 2 weeks in July? Head out to the great outdoors without having to worry about who or how your share will get picked up. Instead, just visit me at the market when you’re back in town & ready to stock your fridge.
With this added flexibility, customization, and hassle-free way of offering a CSA share, my goal remains to help you eat with the seasons and have confidence in how your food is grown.
And with the Market Membership CSA you’ll enjoy that local food longer – instead of a June - October share, the Market Membership gives you the chance to eat local food from April - December.
I’ve updated my website with all the details about the Market Membership CSA, so check out more information over there or keep reading below.

WHAT'S INCLUDED
With the Market Membership CSA, you'll be able to use your farm debit card to access EVERYTHING on our tables at the Lewiston Artisan Farmers Market from April to December 2025, including…
Veggies! Since you are eating with the season in Zone 6, you can expect options that are slightly heavier in greens early in the spring season, more fruiting crops mid-season in late-July (tomatoes, summer squash, etc.), and more root vegetables and storage crops towards the end of October (rutabagas, winter squash, etc.)
Flowers! Our fresh flower bouquets typically become available at the end of June until the first frost (around mid-October, usually). Dried bouquets are available in November & December.
Herbs & Microgreens! We grow a variety of fresh herbs throughout the season, including basil, thyme, sage, mint, lemon balm, parsley, cilantro, fennel leaf, and dill. Our microgreens are available from April to December and are grown in a climate-controlled area in soil.
Seedlings! We grow and prepare seedlings for your garden and garden pots, ready for purchase in May and early June.
Cheese! We proudly partner with Eden Valley Creamery, an organic dairy farm and creamery in South Dayton, NY to bring you USDA Certified Organic cheese wedges, curds, and caramel sauce.
Sourdough Granola! Throughout the season we make an organic sourdough granola in a changing variety using organic ingredients.
Jams & Jellies! We make artisan jams using fruit grown on our farm or another local farm in a variety of unique and interesting flavors.
I’ll be sharing some FAQs related to the CSA in next week’s email but if you have some burning questions, send them to Aurora at schulfarmstead@gmail.com.
CSA membership will open November 29!
